SPECIAL PROJECTS:

Being True Animal Lovers ourselves and very true to the cause of all rescued animals, being it Doggie or Kitty alike, we take a very active role in Animal Welfare.

Giving & Donating does not always mean it has to be of monetary value.  There are many other wonderful ways that one can give back to Animal Welfare - Sharing & Caring on FaceBook, Networking the many Homeless Animals, Volunteering Ones time to do something on behalf of a Shelter, or simply going to a Shelter to help with whatever need there may be.

In light of that, we are very actively involved and always try and be of assistance in whatever way we can if the need arises.

With that comes our “Special Projects”.

A Rescued Daxie Boy Named Buddy - (Now Jazz)

As 2014 started with a “BANG” amongst all the goings on San-marie Jacobsz from Dachshund Rescue SA contacted us, requesting assistance with a "property check" to be done in Benoni as she had agreed to assist with the re-homing of a little Daxie found abandoned at a Earthmoving Equipment yard in Vulcania, Brakpan.  We were still halfway with doing our "property check" when his rescuers, Eileen & Jaco contacted us, wanting to know if we can possibly assist in catching the little Daxie. So, very bravely, one Sunday morning Corrie & I set out to Brakpan.  But, what we found was definately just not an ordinary  "Lure the doggie with something nice, like my good old friend biltong, make friends, grab onto him, when it's OK & safe, and there you go, done & dusted.  We are no experts at this believe u me, but judging from the sight of this doggie, it was going to be a long and patient wait, he was extremely frightened and bewildered.

So, as they say urgent situation calls for urgent measures.  And, right there and then, my always ready with a plan Handyman Husband came up with a plan of his own.  He decided that this little "Monster Maniac of a Road-runner Daxie needs a "Trapping Box" to get his little "stubborn" butt sorted, and as Eileen&Jaco were already into the third week of trying to get this boy sorted, this needed to happen fast.  So, week four saw the birth of a all handmade, sturdy, ready to go Trapping Box~

Needless to say, Friday week four saw this little boy trapped, safe & sound.  Eileen&Jaco had in the interim named him "Buddy".

Being safely caught he began his journey to recovery & re-homing by going to the Sunninghill Village Veterinary Clinic.

Low & behold, there Veterinarian, Dr. Jessica Lane starts treating little "Buddy", still very spooked, not trusting, not wanting to come out of his cage.  After a good bath, being neutered, de-wormed and vaccinated, he got a good clean bill of health, and...........................................................a New Happy Forever home to go to, new name and all!!!!!!

Believe it or not, Dr. Lane fell heads over heals in ♥♥♥♥LOVE♥♥♥♥ with our little "Buddy".  He could not off asked for a better home, with a Vetrenarian Human Mommy & 1 X Maltese X & a JRT X, both rescued, and 4 X little rescue Kitties.

Since that wonderful Rescue Day back in 2014 our “Buddy Trapping Box” has captured and nearly captured to the Rescue, a few other Dogzters & Kitty Katz alike.

The Bear Doggy Kissing Booth

Meet Bear ♥♥♥♥

Bear is a Rescued Border Collie, only 8months old at the time, with a huge “Larger than Life Attitude”.

He was found as a stray, when he was only 4months old.

Bear had severe hip dysplasia with one hip already being dislocated.  He also had elbow dysplasia showing signs of calcification.  The radius in both his front legs had fused too soon whilst the ulna has continued to grow impacting his shoulders.

To repair Bear would require quite a few strenuous operations and a huge amount of much needed funds.

Bear had undergone his first operation on 03/03/2015.

True to our passion for all Animals alike, but especially the most favorite Breed – Rescued we made and donated a “Doggie Kissing Booth”  specially and proudly hand-made, in aid of Bear’s Fundraiser, but also to be used afterwards by Jane Bennett James -  Fundraiser & Doggy Walk Organizer in Pretoria to hopefully assist in generating much needed funds for all Rescues!!!

Bear has since March 2015 had numerous much needed surgery and slowly but surely with lots of love, patience & perseverance by Lindey Coetzee Bear’s dedicated owner and with the needed ongoing physio therapy sessions Bear is wonderfully well on his way to recovery.

Bear does have his very own Face Book Page should you be interested in following the Bear story or making a Donation towards his recovery.

The Rescue Story Of Assisi

I have to just share this with everyone.

As Daxie Lovers this particular Rescue just touched my soul.  Back in April 2015 Pug Rescue SA discovered a little throw away Daxie living at the Engen one Stop Garage / Truck Stop just outside of Villiers, Free State, on the way heading from Durban towards JHB.

Pug Rescue SA set out to try and rescue this little lost soul.

Unfortunately this Little Mite was having none of this Rescue Business. Being out there on her own for about 7months already, she had become very street wise indeed.

After 8 Rescue attempts, 78HRS worth of trying, driving a total of 1856KMS back and forth between Villiers and JHB the Big Rescue finally happened on Tuesday Evening - 19/05/2015.

She is now safe and sound at Pug Rescue SA in Benoni, after having to scavenge for food amongst the trucks and having only the veld as shelter.

Corrie and I had ventured out with Pug Rescue SA on their 7th attempt, believe me, it is dark and cold out there.

This took lots of patience, time, dedication and support.

She is now called Assisi.

I had the privilege of meeting and holding Assisi, and what a Tiny Precious Little Soul she is indeed.

Respect goes to Pug Rescue SA for going all out to Rescue a doggie in need, albeit a Little Looooong Dog.

I got an idea, the idea materialized, I chose the song, the various photo’s and the Video was made. Specially for Sweet Little Assisi & Pug Rescue SA.  -  Enjoy!!!!

WOW, it is such awesome stories like these ones above that rescued is made off  -  For Sure!!!!!
