There are very many Awesome Animal Welfare Organizations  /  Individuals out there, some big and some smaller, there are even a few “Breed Specific” Organizations available.  The battle for funding remains the same.

And, in the end if you really cannot choose, we automatically make the donation on your behalf.

We at Pet Pawesome Cumfies & Spoils have a few favourite Animal Welfare Orginizations / Individuals of our own.  When we are left with any specific an-allocated Donation Portions we rotate automatically between:

Hellen White – Working in the Community

 

If you don’t know about or of her, she is on Facebook, she is a “Little One Man Band” that does the most amazing Charity work in JHB South, she works in the poorer Communities, White & People of Colour alike, areas like Turfontein, Rosettenville, Naturena, Troyville.  She supports around 300 doggies and about 100 Cats per month, with food, medical aid and sterilizations. She is one Amazing lady, she has a half day job, she cycles and she has a little 2nd Hand Charity Shop, aiding in collecting much needed funds, for which she will gladly accept your old bric a brac goods for re-sale.  Believe it or not she is an amazing 60 year old.

And, with all of this she has the world of patience to still “Educate” the Kidz and Adults alike on Animal Welfare.

She also supports a Crechè with food and such within the Community where het little Charity Shop is situated at.

Pet Rescue – Benoni

 

Domestic Pet Rescue was established in December 2002. Based in Benoni on the East Rand and registered as Domestic Pet Rescue, they are a non-profit organization that takes in, and cares for, unwanted, stray and older animals. As a PRO-LIFE Centre

Domestic Pet Rescue is a safe haven for all animals needing care, love, food and a warm bed to sleep in.As a non-profit organization, Domestic Pet Rescue relies solely on the donations, kindness, funding, volunteering and support of the public to care for these animals.

Although each animal in their extended family are loved dearly, they actively search for permanent adoptive homes for them, where they know they will be loved, appreciated and live happily ever after.Please support them by boycotting breeders, pet shops and puppy-mills.

Please Don’t Shop  -  Adopt!!

 

Pet Rescue also has a little 2nd Hand Charity Shop, aiding in collecting much needed funds, for which they will gladly accept your old bric a brac goods for re-sale. 

Pet Rescue have amazing “Outreach Programmes”  assisting the poorer communities with Pet Care, Medical Assistance, Education & Sterilizations of their Township Animals.

Irwin Animal Rescue Centre NPC - Elandsfontein

Founded in 1984 IARC is an Animal Shelter situated at Plot 59B, Aloe Ridge Road, Elandsfontein.

Their community service covers the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abandoned, neglected and abused animals. They serve as a ‘halfway house home’ for these animals until they have recovered and a suitable re-homing arrangement can be made.

 

They are a registered and functioning Non Profit Company (NPC) and rely on the goodwill of supporters for donations of material resources, food and monetary donations to run the Centre. They also run a 2nd hand charity store and bric-a-brac for which they accept goods for resale.

TAG  -  Benoni

 

TAG has the Motto of  -    Every animal has the right to live a healthy and dignified life – Based in Benoni at Covenant Life Centre, 25 Webb Street, Shop#5, Northmead, Benoni.

 

TAG is 100% dependent on donations. They service the community and their animals. They currently have 5 outreach programs and want to expand this to other areas as well. They also have a charity shop where they sell donated goods to support their amazing work. They are always in need of goods to sell, collars, leads, animal food, dips, de-wormers, flea and tick powders and funding towards vaccinations and especially sterilizations.

 

They are trying to get every dog off a chain and into a shelter. So if you have any kennels you no longer using or are able to help with a work party to make up some kennels from old pallets let us know. God Bless you all.
